8/20/2007

All Pro, Sportsman and Junior classes will be the same in 2007 except there will be no Junior 3 Dog rig class.
9/18/2007 We have gone over the trails and they are basically in good shape for this year.  We will have to cross the asphalt race track sooner than last year due to re-construction of the facilities.  This may reduce the mileage slightly, but we will attempt to regain it in the area that was under construction last year.
The switchbacks at the turn-around for the 8 & 6 Dog Rig classes have been eliminated for this year - it will be a straight shot across the track and up to the chain link fence which borders the infield.  There has been re-construction in this area which has helped us out.
10/9/2007 We have marked out all of the trails except the cross-overs at Turn 7 and Turn 1 (BIR) due to re-construction in those areas.  The trail this year will have stretches of sand as before, but much more of it will be on grass rather than soft, freshly tilled dirt.  It will be firmer and faster this year in many stretches, so plan accordingly.
11/8/2007 The trail is looking great.  We have ended up harrowing and raking the trail as cutting the grass did not offer enough trail definition in many areas.  Consequently, the trail surface will be similar to last year, but not quite as soft in most areas because the trail has been harrowed rather than tilled.
